Photographing newborns can be hard work! We’re sharing some of our favorite easy newborn posing ideas to help make your next session go a little more smoothly. If you’re already photographing newborns, you probably know about and have heating pads, womb sound apps, and all those special tools that can help make babies more comfortable. We also recommend using a large newborn photography poser, blankets, wraps, and/or furs to help make your images more stunning and to ensure sleeping babies stay that way.
Once you have the newborn asleep and comfortable, there are subtle ways you can change the baby’s position or your position to get as many great images from a newborn session.
Gently moving the baby’s arm can create a completely new, sweet look. Parents will want images of their bundles of joy from every angle.
Moving yourself around the baby will also allow for new angles and picture perfect photographs.
Try changing your focus to concentrate on sweet little detials.
Close images are also cute. Zoom in on hands, feets, lips, and other adorable little baby features.
We hope these tips helped! It’s easy to get a camera full of awesome images with a little creativity. You don’t need to do dramatic wardrobe or positioning changes to get many unique cute images.
