Today we’re taking on a new twist in newborn photography tips: Twins!
Because newborn twin photography can be far more difficult than doing a single baby shooting session we’re going to share with you 3 tips, coming from some seasoned professionals!
Tip #1: Double the Gentleness and Care
Go slower than you normally would and have your assistant help you so you don’t have your hands too full. Try to be extra caring, gentle and smooth. Have relaxing sounds in the background and wear some cotton gloves so as to not accidentally scratch the newborns. These little tweaks can help a shoot go as smoothly as possible. Tip #2: Individual newborn shots
While photographing twins, try to take individual shots first. Focus on each and every detail unique to that baby so you can see how it compliments their twin. Their single shots will enhance their own little details and beauty and will make their combined shots even more spectacular.
Tip #3: Baby Combined Shots: Natural
When taking some combined shots for twins babies, always try to take the shots where they feel perfectly easy and happy. Different than working with newborns, babies have developed more of a friendship with their twin and that can lead to sweet kisses, giggles, and more. Let them play with your camera in hand and you’ll be happily surprised with the shots you’ll get.
